Captain Glenn Spaulding has been fishing since he could hold a rod—starting at just 2 years old alongside his father on the waters of the Great Lakes. Growing up immersed in the fishing lifestyle gave Glenn a strong foundation in angling techniques and a deep appreciation for the sport. His early experiences shaped his passion, turning weekend outings into a lifelong pursuit that would later define his career.
Though he began a professional journey in education, Glenn never drifted far from his fishing roots. Eventually, he followed his passion full time and founded Summer Skool Sportfishing, where he now shares his experience and knowledge with anglers of all backgrounds. Glenn’s dedication to making each trip meaningful is clear in his hands-on approach, personal attention, and ability to read both the water and the needs of his guests.
Captain Glenn’s expertise spans a wide variety of fishing styles, allowing him to tailor each trip to seasonal patterns and client goals. He is especially skilled in trolling, jigging, and light tackle fishing—methods that are highly effective on Lake Michigan for targeting species like Chinook salmon, lake trout, and steelhead. Whether you're a beginner or a returning guest, Glenn’s calm, instructional style and deep local knowledge make each outing enjoyable and productive.
